A native to New Jersey living in Texas, I like to refer myself as a Southern Yankee. I grew up under the supervision of some pretty amazing women who helped me develop an appreciation for people, life, and the little nuances that make us who we are and define us as individuals. And I like to think that I live my life through and by the art of making photographs.
I like making pictures. I use the term “make” instead of “take” because pictures have to be made, created, cultivated. I do more than capture moments, I tell stories. Being a young nomad with a hearing impairment and having to use my eyes more than my ears gave me rich visual experiences of living in different parts of the world may have given me an edge…and my connection with the people I put before my lens is part of what contributes to the uniqueness of my visual interpretation of what is in front of me. Everyone has a story of their own to tell or I have a story to tell when I am trying to convey something to an audience, be it stills or be it motion.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to shoot all over the globe for commercial projects. I’ve not only lived but have worked in many different places such as, Milan, Italy being one of them plus a few more. I view each project as an opportunity to learn, grow, and above all, connect with those I meet and listen to their stories.
I’d love to connect with you.
